When Leslie first heard about the unique approach taken by Fremstad Law, she jumped at the chance to get involved. Splitting her time between the Fargo and Detroit Lakes offices, she appreciates the opportunity to bring legal justice to her hometown of Detroit Lakes and to make a positive difference in the lives of her clients.
Leslie takes an original approach to working with her clients in that she sees them as a team working towards the same end goals. This personalized care enables her to build up high levels of trust with her clients. She is someone that they can feel comfortable with, which allows for the productive type of client-attorney relationship that makes practicing law so rewarding – and allows Leslie to get the job done seamlessly.
Her areas of focus include business and corporate law, probate, real estate, and estate planning. Her emphasis on working with her clients as a team helps her to get into the heart of the issues in each case so that she can deliver to her clients the best possible results.
After achieving a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, Leslie went on to get her law degree from Marquette University Law School. In 2015 and 2016, she was named a Great Plains Rising Star by SuperLawyers, a title reserved for less than 2.5 percent of those who are either under the age of 40 or who have been practicing law for fewer than 10 years.
Leslie is a member of both the Essential Health Business Relations Committee and the Detroit Lakes Chamber of Commerce. She works hard to give back to her local community through her work with the organization.
Leslie is originally from Detroit Lakes, but she also lived in Brisbane, Australia for a while. She married her high school sweetheart after they reunited at their school’s 10-year reunion. They now have two rescue dogs. Some of her claims to fame are her spelling bee championship in third grade, her perfect score on her driving test, and the fact that she has broken her collarbone three times but never broken another bone in her body. Before she got into the legal field, her favorite job was working in an ice cream shop. In her spare time, she enjoys knitting, cooking, and hanging out by the lake with her family, but her favorite pastime is listening to sports talk radio.
